Experience is not required, but a basic condition and sense for the unknown adventure. We alternate walking with 4x4 driving to be able to take unknown roads, and high passes, and cover a fair distance.
In about 3.5 hours you fly via Marrakech or fly directly to Ouarzazate, you will be picked up at the airport. A first night in a beautiful Riad Amlal.
On the second day, we leave in the morning, and through the most beautiful palm trees, we go through the Rose Valley to Boutaghrar. We visit the village, the farms and the beautiful gardens. We walk through red rocky terrain to the river, where swimming is an option. We sleep in a unique family hostel, with stargazing in the evening on the beautiful roof terrace.
The next day we leave for the Village Ait Daoud and we walk 9 km in the Imgoun Valley, along the way there is time to get to know the local villages and inhabitants. We rest at their home. Then we walk between beautiful houses and we go back to the Boutaghrar village.
The next day we go to the fertile Dades Valley off-road, 35 km of magical landscape, past red mountains, stray herds of goats, villages, and rivers. We then walk between the wonderfully shaped red rocks of Les patties de singe, or berbère boda,
We continue our route through the highest canyon in Morocco and visit nomads on foot.
We leave via unknown roads towards the beautiful red dunes of Merzouga. We walk in the dunes, drive 4x4, and for those who want there is a camel ride at sunset.
If you want to understand something of the history, a visit to Ait Atta is necessary, the people of Atta, the organization of the Berbers of south-east Morocco. We learn more about the history of Ait Atta. We walk between the most beautiful houses and surprising landscapes.
Back to Ouarzazate or Marrakech. On the way, there is an opportunity to stop, have a drink, visit Kasbahs, and enjoy the landscape.
